Mist Lord routes should be planned like extraction routes, not isolated PvE encounters. A boss can be mechanically manageable and still be a terrible decision if it drains healing, broadcasts sound, and leaves the party trapped.
The first check is exit distance. If the nearest Returner Woodling route is unknown or blocked, the boss room is not secure enough for a full commit.
The second check is rival timing. If another party can hear the fight and arrive after the boss weakens your group, the real boss is the third-party collapse.
The best boss route is the one that ends with a clean exit, not the one that clears every room.
A strong Mist Lord attempt has an entry plan, a recovery plan, and an extraction plan. Entry decides how the party starts the encounter. Recovery decides who stabilizes after a bad hit. Extraction decides whether the reward leaves the map.
If the party cannot answer those three questions, the boss should be delayed or skipped. Boss damage is only one part of the danger; the real cost is the attention and resource loss created before rival hunters arrive.
